Sun and Water Shrine

The Sun and Water Shrine is built into the Jesibil River near the Burning Light of Apollo Temple. On a large rocky shoal adjacent to the swift-moving river, the water flows slowly and is never more than 6 inches deep. From this shoal rises a large pillar of natural rock with a huge natural orb of quartz on top of it. Long before the Burning Light of Apollo Temple was built near here, people revered this shrine as a holy place to both the gods of the sky and gods of the river. This place is currently revered by both followers of Apollo and Poseidon.
